Yes, it is a great approach. But I’ve also seen many people taking advantage of it. They forget to pay or take it for granted. It is not a loss to the teacher but to the student. That is why spiritual teachers have to put a price on their invaluable services.
Money transaction is a form of energy exchange, a token of gratitude and appreciation. However, only a few genuine seekers understand this.
And when these genuine seekers meet real masters, the true value of seeking and wisdom meets. That is where the genuine transaction happens.
Not just finance but of life — surrender, trust, and devotion of students. And when a seeker operates from there, money becomes irrelevant. There is no joy greater than seeing the absolute growth of seeker, to be able to make them a guru themselves.
Gu — darkness, ru — dispel. That who dispels darkness and brings light to the world. A guru does not make disciples. He/she makes them a guru to bring light to the world. That is where a true guru/pure life operates from.
However, money is involved to see how much a student can give/surrender. Sadly, the world has become very commercial, and money is needed by guru to live and spread their message. That is why I say choose your teacher where your heart already is because one has to sacrifice much beyond the money, and only love can make it happen. Again, it is not for any teacher but for the student’s own upliftment.
