This is so heart wrenching. I can not imagine the agony of parents, who do so much for their children and children don't even recognize those sacrifices parents made.

As a child of my living parents, I want to live my life according to me, not them. But I know from depths of my heart, that I'd never leave them alone, not esp when they need me.

Love is about care and as children it is the least we can do. To care for them when they need it. Old age is lonely. When both parents are alive, they have each other's company. But when one passes away, to leave the other parent alone is brutal.
