The Heart Is the Place Where I Find You
A poem dedicated to my best soul-friend who left for his heavenly abode.
Where did you go
The disbelief, pain in heart and gap widens
Your life was an inspiration
You struggled a lot, my soldier
Struggling for each breath was a war
You succeeded infinite times but gave up at last
No, it was not your fault, my dear
You are a warrior in every intention
Not just in the hospital, but how we faced life difficulties
From personal to professional, we saw a lot together
We held hands and crossed life's exams
We succeeded and failed in some
But we knew we had each other
And that was sufficient for us
For more than a decade of close togetherness,
We could communicate with eyes and hearts
We both were each other's pillar of support
From smallest to largest of obstacles
I vividly remember our first meeting
Running to and fro where we bumped
