Love Killed ‘Me’ and Gave Me a New Birth as ‘Love’ Itself
A poem on the graciousness of love
Love is the path,
love is the destination,
love pushes the one to seek,
love arises and flowers the being.
Love dissolves the ego
Love merges all the identity
Love is prayer and the penance
Love is the fire that burns
Love is the coolness that balms
Love, my beloved, what is love
At one point, you were outside me
Distinctive and other than me
That is why ‘I’ loved ‘you’
Now that love has ravaged the ego construct
I am you, and you within me
Separations dissolved
Physical distance vanished
Love that once bound my heart to yours
Has merged everything
Making me the love itself
Shedding all my clothes
I am as naked and vulnerable
Yet in bliss
