Death May Have Done Us Apart, but Not For Long
A poem about the love I shared with my bestie who left this world.
At the depth of night
when the entire world is asleep
My heart misses you
In my tears, I try to find you
Listening to your songs
That I barely understand
crying like a child
As I remember our togetherness
The beautiful friendship
the unconditional love that we shared
unending support
Relief that it brought
That I have someone
who is there no matter what
somebody who cares and love infinitely
Accepting me entirely as I am
Nobody knew what I felt
Only you
Nobody knew what I went through
only you
But you are not here now
In the plump body
the sweet cherubic face of yours
an ever-smiling lips
